[WiFiCoop] status update

As many already know, there was another power outage at the BYC a couple
days ago. When power was restored, the Coop gear did not come back on as
it normally does because the UPS was switched off! Anyway, turning the
UPS on solved that problem.
I purchased a 2nd Cisco 1310 access point and that is being used now to
provide our uplink to the Internet. This means we're going to get better
performance (up to 20Mbs!) It also solves some interference problems
that were hurting our performance on this link with the previous 10mW
radio.
We're very close to having a Cisco 1310 to serve the "wificoop" network
properly. It's just a matter of getting this unit and its antenna
mounted to overlook the marina. Zach Nobel has graciously volunteered to
work on that when he has the spare time.
For folks who have been patiently (sometimes!) helping out by resetting
the current (byc-bm,byc-bm-n) radios, I've finally setup a URL you can
use from outside the Coop network instead of that SSH hack:
http://byc-ap1.ca.us.wificoop.net/
(I'm using the Apache httpd reverse proxy feature...)
Many thanks to everyone who is contributing each month. There would be
no new radios without you!
Scott
